What we did
Carried out labour and working conditions audits using a triangulated approach combining documentation review, site observations and confidential worker interviews across contractors and subcontractors. Reviews covered labour and supply chain management, employment contracts, payroll and working time records, supported by discussions with management and non-managerial workers. Adopted a collaborative, implementation-focused approach, working with HR, OHS, procurement and contractor management teams to strengthen labour management practices, support accountability and share practical tools and guidance for ongoing implementation and continuous improvement.
The result
The audits supported stronger alignment with international good practice in labour and workforce management, while increasing awareness of international labour standards and lender requirements. The process also strengthened labour management and oversight practices and supported a culture of performance monitoring and continuous improvement across contractors and subcontractors.
